This aircraft(and my first aircraft, the US Army AP-2E "CEFLIEN LION) have been labors of love. This is my first scratch aircraft, and I hope you will overlook some of the flaws and learn something of the aircraft's history and the men who flew it during the Vietnam War.
A great source of information is the EC-47 History Site, run by J. C. Wheeler, an EC-47 crew chief. The weather radar is for you !!Please go to the site and browse through the great selection of historical and personal reminiscences http://www.ec47.com
As for me, I processed much of the information (voice and morse code radio traffic) gathered by "DRILLPRESS" (later code-named "SENTINEL SARA" while serving at the 8th Radio Research Field Station at Phu Bai, Vietnam from 1967-1968.Trust me-the information furnished by the 6994 Security Squadron operators and analysts was first rate.
A tip of the hat to the aircrews from the 360th, 361st, and 362nd Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadrons who flew and kept the birds operational.
